Best solution for failing jack pad mounts?

I have my M3 in the body shop getting the RACP reinforced and I've asked them to look at one of my jack pad mounts that has failed. They are trying to figure out the best way to address them so I figured I would ask the community. Is there a best practice for fixing these? It seems all four are failing with one being especially bad.

    Thanks!

Can't you just buy new ones and change them?

I think he meant to say the jack pad mounts have collapsed into the frame, common problem on the e36/e46 platform.

I think he is talking about the metal that sits under the rubber pad bending/collapsing.
        Youtube DIYs and more

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

If you have an Instagram. Look at weldtechbristol. I've never seen a premade solution to the mount failures but they have shown a few photos of how they did the repairs. It looks properly done. May help your shop with ideas on how to correct.

Yes, I'm talking about the (steel?) mounts that the jack pads attach to. The pads themselves are fine. Interestingly enough, this car spent it's time in Texas and California and really doesn't have a rust problem. I haven't looked at the mounting points yet so maybe there was rust that I didn't know about.

Thanks again for the tip. I sent them an email this morning and they replied pretty quickly with some information and pictures. I've forwarded their reply to my shop so hopefully that will give them the inspiration they were looking for.

That's amazing... My rear ones kinda suck. I put the stands where that V cross brace bolts up instead. I wish someone would make an oversized one to spread surface area. With my car being on stands for probably 4 to 5 months I have an extra stand under the diff and a back up on each front jackpoint.
