Would a facelift bumper fit on a prefacelift E46 M3 coupe?

Hi there!

So when I bought My 2001 coupe, she came with a CSL replica bumper that I´m not a big fan of, I like it... but something is telling me to back to the original shape...

All the 2nd hand bumpers that I find out there are facelifted, Is it possible to install them without problems?

The only info that I have is that maybe the support fender (11 at the diagram) could be different? https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_4218

Or maybe even the bumper carriers are different too? I believe that the materials vary on pre/post facelift (Alu/carbon fiber?) but dunno if the fitments of each carrier are the same for the bumpers...

Pre 2001 have an aluminum carrier, post 2001 have the Kevlar carrier and they require different bumper covers. Cosmetically they look the same, it’s just the carrier and foam moulding in the cover that is different. Yes you can upgrade from the aluminum to Kevlar carrier, they bolt the chassis with the same hardware.
