Some late night thinking got me curious on this topic...
My car is a December 2002 build, so an early 2003 car. Pre-facelift, but I lucked out and have MK60 DSC - made apparent to me because my drug bin in the engine bay doesn't have the MK20 housing unit.
Does anyone know when the production switched from MK20 DSC cars to MK60? It must have been before the facelift at some point, but I have never seen a factory 2002 car have it, and likewise I have seen some pre-facelift 2003 cars not have MK60 either. I had initially assumed this was a major difference between pre-LCI cars and facelifted cars, but it's not so clear to me as I had once thought.
