    Front Bumper Foam Support

Transferring a foam support over to a freshly painted bumper and wondering if anyone had tips on getting the foam to securely stay on bumper? I see there are slots on the foam and corresponding 'tabs' on the bumper cover, i was thinking about trying to melt the tab ends so they can hold the foam into place and/or some epoxy/glue. How is the foam held in place from the factory?

I used black RTV to reattach my foam pieces to my bumper support. The foam is originally attached with some type of double sided tape.

Thanks. I suppose i could use some VHB between the foam and bumper. In addition, I can glue the tabs/slot openings.
