    P0128 after AC Recharge?

So I've been getting this code (taking to long to warm up?) after I got my AC charged. I don't know how they're even connected but I wasn't getting it before. AC was completely empty, got a full charge and now it's blowing cold.

It does seem to be running a little cooler when I'm driving it, a little under 190F. I tried to turn it on, let it sit and watch the temps, but never got the code. Only get it if I start driving while it warms up. At idle the clutch fan runs constantly, the electric fan stays off.

Just a coincidence about the AC maybe? The entire cooling system is new, under 1K miles. New pump, thermostat, fan, hoses, radiator, etc. The whole kit from FCP.

It’s a temp sensor behind the water pump housing... Mine was doing it as well. I changed mine when I did my whole cooling system.. I think you can get to it with just the intake manifold off

Read what the car says through OBD before you start it. Compare it to ambient considering it should match. It takes about 6 hours for the block to fully cool. That'll start to help diagnose the electric sensor.

I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure the temps were responding. I had it hooked up to inpa while idling in the garage.

I don't get the code if I let it idle up to temp, only if I start it up and go driving.

So was it just a bad sensor? My car just popped the same code, read on my cheapo obd reader. Was gonna clear it but wasn’t sure if a better reader might be able to see more
