    Hood Fitment - Please advise?

    Hey everyone,

I have a question regarding my hood fitment. I think something is off here, as one might tell.

Long story short, the car was in a front end accident from a previous owner. From every job that I do on the car, I realize that the shop that repaired it didn't do the best job in the world and I'm fixing most of what I find with the right parts, screws, etc. This part however of the hood fitment, is driving me a bit nuts.

Take a look at the photos. I'm guessing that I have to realign the hood/fenders so that it can fit properly - I just wonder if anyone on here has done this before, or have any tips for me. I'll pull this in the spring time rather than now in the cold, but I keep wondering about it so I thought I'd ask.

    Photos
I took an identical picture of my m3 (With the license plate) and my buddies M3 at the same angle so you could see the misalignment of the hood that I'm talking about. Also one more. It's all I have easily available to me. I should have taken one today before putting it under my cover but alas, I have not.

    Main areas to look:
    - Above the headlights: the gap there between them and the hood
    - The gap of the hood and the bumper
    - The fenders and how they align

Any advice on how to tackle this the best way would be great. Thank you!

    Jonathan

open the hood and take a look at the spring latches on either side of the hood on the inside (allen screw). You can turn them (clockwise i believe) and it will close up the gap of the hood. In addition there are rubber grommets on the front clip support around where the headlights screw in. Those stoppers can also be turned clockwise to further bring the hood down.

Oh wow! Ok! Thank you for this! I'll give this a shot after the snow melts - if it's that easy I'll flip.

The only concern I have - if you take a look at the picture is how the fenders are in comparison to the hood. I'm wondering if they would rub and perhaps that's why the hood is the way that it is. I'll take a look and assess further on that but thank you for this! I really appreciate the reply 🤙

Is your radiator support bent weird? Mine is bent (don’t ask why) and my hood is raised slightly on one side and lower on the other.

That's actually not a bad idea - do you by chance have a photo? I just had my radiator replaced and I didn't get any word that it was bent or anything like that. I wonder if it could have been missed though, is it relatively obvious? If you could describe how yours is perhaps that might make it easier for me to check on mine
