    new Injectors?

    Hello Guys,

Gonna replace my old injectors for new ones. I think the general consensus(from the old forum) is to stick to the OEM injectors. I have carbon airbox, 272/280 cams, full supersprint, Hassan tune, etc..
Just wanted to know your thoughts on the matter. OEM or aftermarket?

    thanks

Is there any specific reason you want to replace the injectors? I'm slowly piecing my motor together with pretty much the same mods as you. I've just had the injectors cleaned and flow-tested. If they're in good working order and you don't require higher cc injectors, why replace?

If you do replace, go OE

Same boat similar mods, I have been eyeing some bosch ev14 440 or 550s. I like the idea of a modern spray pattern/injector, there has been some innovation in 20 years, plus e85 overhead. Then all the threads read like this and pretty much all the old m3 forum were the same. A tune is on the books anyway am I missing the downside. I was about to reach out to Hassan for this same question but just haven't got around to it.

i have never replaced them before. I have had them flow-tested but honestly I just dont trust that. Not locally at least.

I’d like to hear some real world experience upgrading to a new and larger injector. I have Shrick 280/288 turner airbox etc. would love to go straight e85

Consider RCfuelinjection They test and refurbish your used injectors. They test the performance before and after cleaning. They made my leaking under performing injectors work like new. They replace the filters and seals as well.

+1 for this recommendation, great company and very professional. I had a set of my injectors on an old SR20DET done by them and they were 850cc injectors at the time.

Running bigger injectors is not a direct plug and play, they require custom tuning to properly scale flow rates and duty cycles.

If you want to run CSL box, cams, headers and full E85, you should look at getting larger injectors that can support the amount of duty cycle required to maximize performance. Stock injectors can't support that amount of flow. Then you should also start looking into higher flow fuel pumps.
