I wanted to see if anyone has experience in reupholstering Recaro Pole Position seats?

I found some Pole Positions local to me, but they’re not my desired material. Interested in hearing anyone’s reupholstery experience (specifically in leather).

alternatively I would just order cobra Nogaros in my desired specifications if the cost outweighs the benefit of reupholstery.

AMX Performance on Instagram will sell you the skins in pretty much any material you want. Even though they primarily do Sportster CS seats, I’ve seen pole positions on his site as well.

just received a response from AMX

Natural black leather + alcantara =1450 set. +195 shipping to USA

synthetic leather = 650 set. +135 shipping

Yes

Pretty pricey after you factor in installation, so I would hope the quality is superior to what Recaro uses

I thought that was decent priced. A place near me quoted 1600 for both front stock seats (full leather). How much have you been seeing it done for with good quality?

Good point, I haven’t looked locally yet. I guess I was comparing the price to ordering leather cobra Nogaro seats or new leather Recaro PP seats

Yeah, that pricing isn't too bad at all. You can snag some ratty pole positions online and have basically new seats (albeit likely expired) for pretty cheap!

Let us know what you get. I got samples from them a couple years ago and they just didn't come close to the oem nappa. Good for a regular 3 series or something.

Lseat specifically. I even asked for a premium sample they offered separately and while better, still not even remotely close to the higher end stuff. I'd say the quality is in line with the price.

What color are you looking for? I have a link for ordering cinnamon leather (zimt) in the US. Maybe they have the other original OE leather as well?

I redid my cushions on SPG XLs in cinnamon leather. It took a long time to find a shop that could do it and match the leather and grain. Eventually I went to an old biker shop that did it with ease. Leather is from the UK, IDK what brand it is but the cinnamon match is 100%.
