    Rod Bearings and Bolts

Hey all I am going to be doing my rod bearings over the winter. I have been looking into it for a while and seem to remember that the rod bolt size was changed at some point during production from m10 to m11. I can't find said information again and I want to be certain that I am grabbing the right stuff. Also I am looking at ACL bearings with built in clearance for a thicker oil film. Anyone using said bearings? Heard anything positive or negative? Thanks in advance!

Theres an official document floating around, i would consult that first. The Bently manual finally came in handy as well. I went with the ACL standard clearance and ARP hardware. The stretch process for the later model cars is a major pain in ass.

I'm not too concerned about difficulty as I am an Auto Technician and I have the torque wrench with angle ability, makes stretch bolts a breeze. I also have access to ALLDATA, Mitchell, and Identifix so procedures should be straightforward. I saw the standard clearance ACL bearings, I'm assuming they will be more than sufficient for a daily driver, no track use, with some spirited drives here and there?

        M10 x 1.25 bolts are from 12/13/2002 production. M11 x 1.25 bolts are pre 12/13/2002 and can be reused.

Wasn't planning on it at this time as the car is street driven, it is a convertible and I want to get into a coupe within a few years as well and the cost is an extra 120 or so.

I bought the ACL bearings off Amazon as well for my built bottom end.

How many times can the m11 be reused?
