Question about ultrasonic cleaning of VANOS unit

Can anyone shed some light and tips on properly cleaning a VANOS unit in an ultrasonic cleaner?
When a VANOS unit is disassembled as per Beisan procedure, can it then be submerged in an ultrasonic cleaner or is any further disassembly required that is not covered in the Beisan process?
Similarly, would applying magnets to the solenoid valves and submerging into ultrasonic work as well?

And would something like Simple Green Extreme Aircraft cleaning solution be safe and effective?

    Thank you!

And a quick follow-on: if ultrasonic cleaning is done on cam sprockets/hubs too, is using an engine assembly lube necessary upon re-assembly? If yes, any recommendations?
    Cheers.

      Just use engine oil.

I used Penrite Camshaft & Engine Assembly Lube

Edit: I didn't use assembly lube on the cam sprockets/hubs, only on the cam lobes/valvetrain.

For what it's worth, I used about a cup of that diluted in distilled water in my 22L ultrasonic bath to clean the original/1-year-only Autolite 1100 carb from my '67 Mustang that I'm restoring. My concern was not wanting to use anything that would discolor the aluminum casting. I was very pleased with the results. Gave it a quick run with walnut shells in the blast cabinet and it looked as good as new.

Just bought an ultrasonic cleaner and wanted to see if anyone can share recommended settings for cleaning aluminum vanos parts. Thanks!
