Has anyone put a weighted ZHP ship knob in their E46 M3

    I've been very happy with the F10 M5 knob with boot (link in post #1). You need re-trim the boot as someone mentioned above but I felt it was worth the effort for a good looking and feeling final result.

      I was looking and it seems like the F8x m3/m4 shift knobs are pretty similar to the F10 M5 knobs. Has anyone ever tired to fit these into our cars?

              I am using a F80 knob. Had to do some trickery for the boot part but the illumination is plug and play

                What do you mean by some trickery for the boot part? Was the boot not large enough? Or do you mean just swapping the frames?

                      Most full SSK swaps will increase the amount of force you need to get the stick from gate to gate.

                      Weight doesn't help in that case. It actually works against what the SSK is supposed to do.

                      A weighted shift knob works best with stock levers or a 330D or 545i lever.
