Going from Billy Boat to SuperSprint “Street” I’m almost afraid would be such a change OP might be unhappy with that big a drop.
I would be relieved tbh. I drove around in my friends M3 convertible with the factory exhaust and it was a pleasure to drive. The Billy Boat exhaust was fine when I bought my car 16 years ago at age 25. Now I'm 41 and I'm over it lol.

A local was nice enough to reach out and offer me his OEM exhaust with the euro tips installed. I'll be meeting up with him this weekend. I may end up doing the Rogue Engineering section 2 with the electronic valve for whenever I want my car to scream. As mentioned above I can have the best of both worlds but worried about the rasp I may get when the valve is closed and there's no resonator.

I see myself putting a dump into sect 2 before trying yet another muffler. Seems like the best solution, esp for a car with headers (catless always sounds better imo).

hes saying he has the best of both worlds for his use case. he gets to keep his stock section 2 and 3 and with a cut out in place and CLOSED he gets no drone and stock exhaust sound and when he wants more power he flips the switch to open the cut out.

I have an electronic exhaust cutout in section 2. It can be opened or closed depending on my mood and how much boost the car is pushing. I’ve found it to be a very handy addition to the car.

There is rasp but not like I remember when I had ebay headers years ago. I will try to create a video but i dont think its bad at all honestly but I can be wrong!

I keep my M3 in 5th when I'm below 75 on the freeway, otherwise it drives me nuts. Plus the engine doesn't seem too happy below 3k.

Understood. My regular 200mile trip has 100miles of freeway with 75mph limit (set cruise at 84), and 100miles of two lane with a 65mph limit (set cruise at 74).

Unfortunately, for whatever reason more resonators sound more better on this chassis.
I've never ridden in a car with the Sport that didn't drone.

It’s much better blended in with carbon intake roar. That puts some meat into the sound and transforms the tinniness from ear piercing and ugly to an exotic flair lol.
Ya we're the same (well, had cats, not now). I actually like that metallic tinniness from the driver's position. airbox adds a lot of "meat" as you say. From the outside (behind), it is a bit anemic.
