Lube convertible top cables after winter?

Hey folks, does anyone know what can be lubricated to help ease up on the load of the motor that would be causing the dreaded rear seat clicking? A winter of sitting I think has made the cables not moving as well as they did before it was cold and is putting extra load on the motors.

I went through all of that last year and know about the gear and a new metal cover and everything, which I already purchased. So the problem I think is that I need to lubricate the roof cables to get it moving more freely so its not putting so much load on the gears that cause the popping. Once I put the new cover on last year in the warm months it worked perfectly for daily use, but again I think the cable has become more difficult to run after the colder months.

    Thanks

The only thing I know that needs lubrication are the metal screw things that control the latches. Those have to be well lubricated so that the motor doesn’t struggle during operation

Thanks - You mean in the front near the windshield? I have the dreaded clicking but it's happening further down the process, as in when it's just about fully open. Don't think the latches come into play at that point? But thank you.

Have you checked the motor in between the seats? I know that the gears tend to break off some teeth since they’re made of plastic. Maybe hydraulic pump also needs to be checked out?

Further research I discovered it's the bowden cables going to the tonneau cover latches and something is holding both of them up, which is causing the clicking. But thank you for your suggestion!
