E46 M3 Rod Bearing Job Parts List

    Hi all.

About to tackle this job here soon my car and wanted to see if there is an exhaustive list of parts, with part numbers that someone has compiled for this job, both including the necessary replacements as well as some additional "while you're in there" things.

For my particular car it's an 02, pre LCI, that had rod bearings done under recall at 16k miles in 2005. So, I'm unsure if I need updated bolts or reusing my current ones. Also, ARP or not in this case?

I remember we had a thread on the old forum so figured it'll be helpful to get one going here.

Yes, there some extra rod bolts. Yes, I am doing a lot of "while I am there" along with the usual 90K service stuff.

Thanks man. I am thinking I need to order both the M10 and M11 bolts as I'm not sure which ones I have.

What is the general consensus on ARP bolts in this scenario? Are they OK to use in either case?

Nice. I just have to find out which bolts I got. May wait to order until I crack it open.

Yeah man that was the car! It was fun.

I think the consensus around here has been to use OEM bolts over ARP
