Is a front subframe reinforcement necessary?

I'm getting my e46 m3 rear subframe addressed in the near future with AKG plates underside and vincebar topside reinforcement. I'm relieved to finally address the weak e46 rear subframe. Then I happened to stumble upon front subframe reinforcement kits...stupid google . Are these commonly installed? Is it prone to failure on our cars? I haven't read much about it till recently. Thanks in advance.

Not for street car. Most track cars probably don't even have any.
