    DTC 4F: exhaust temperature sensor...

    What’s up guys

Had this DTC come up , after car felt slightly down on power yesterday. No check engine or dash lights. All original (130kmi) headers, 02s, etc. you get the idea. Nothings been changed in exhaust area. Probably on borrowed time.

Anyone get this code? And was it truly just sensor? Or tip off to start searching for new shiny headers and cats now.

    Temp sensors $100 bucks.
but only if I run cats in sec 1 do I need the sensor?

    Thanks guys

I coded mine out when i installed my euro cats and headers purely out of being cheap and lazy. I understood its only role in AFR calculation was to trigger cat enrichment- but i also read a post on the forum (i think it was by terra) that in the CSL DMEs they play into AFR calculation beyond cat enrichment. So maybe best to just keep it.

If you planing on running csl airbox with map sensor setup than you will definitely needed because dme relies on it. But if not then you can just deleted it.

Grab a used one from a part out, maybe 10 or 20 bucks. They seem to last a long time.

No plans to run CSL air box - but do plan to replace the original headers and refresh o2 sensors.

Has anyone else had this sensor fail? I figured an 02 sensor would go before this.
