Hey folks, soooo just recently spit a shim out (intake side), and after having spoke w/a few different ppl I'm really debating whether or not to stick w/my current ST valvetrain...or revert back to stock valve springs/retainers. A little bit of history for anyone new on here, or not familiar w/my set up...I'm currently running Schrick 288/280 cams w/ST valves, springs, and Ti retainers. The set up has more or less performed flawlessly for several yrs now, after a few initial problems after the original build...this is the first time it's ever spit out a shim. My question goes out to folks who are specifically running Schrick 288/280 cams w/either aftermarket valvetrain set ups or Schrick cams w/factory springs/retainers. I know that others running similar ST set ups have had this issue before, but what I haven't heard (maybe becuz it hasn't happened) is ppl running these cams w/factory valve springs/retainers having this issue? Sooo, I would kinda like to hear from both sides as to either who's had problems, or who hasn't had problems.
