They're made to be shipped by pairs - it's 295$ for a set.

ABE stands for „Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis“, with means they are official approved and road legal in germany. Btw. Recaro Pole abe is the only bucket seat on Germany that has this certification.

I am guessing it's only larger around the waist area? Won't be ideal for someone 6'3"?

It wouldn't be safe to use the Schroth quickfit with them, but you could use this to mount the harnesses to the rear deck, taking the harness load off the seat and making it safe.

These seats are only marginally larger around the waist because they flare out to accept 3 point belt receptacle.
