    Rekpoints 2005 Jet Black E46 m3

Well, This marks the start of my new M3 Journey! I have owned a few M cars through the years. Mainly to make some money as I am an entrepreneur at heart. Since around 2018-2019 I had been slowly looking for a clean E36 M3 coupe that I could call mine. I was kind of dragging my feet with things because I wanted a "Deal"... Only to have a rude awakening when prices shot up here on E36 m3s late 2020 into 2021.

After 5 failed E36 M3 deals with flaking sellers, refunded deposits a good friend of mine offered up his E46 so he could buy a rental property.

Photos are from the day I purchased the car and brought it home.

Some basic info on the car goes as follows
    2005 Jetblack on Black 6 speed m3
Purchased with 161k now has just over 165k
Everything on this car has been touched.
Ground control race coils, camber plates + swaybars with adjustable end-links
    Ground control rear camber arms
Bimmerworld solid aluminum rear subframe bushings
Powerflex Track series poly diff bushings
    Bimmerworld RTABs
    Bimmerworld Spherical outer lower bearings
PFC direct-drive rotors PFC 08 Pads (Track) PFC Z-rated (Street)
PFC 332 pads (Track) PFC Z-rated (Street)
    Bimmerworld caliper guide bushings
    New OEM calipers
    Bimmerworld insulated stainless brake lines
    Motul RBF 600 Brake Fluid
    OEM wheel bearings
Weld in rear chassis reinforcement plates
WPC treated rod bearings + ARP rod bolts
Full Besian Systems Vanos upgrade with Bimmerworld VANOS line
    UUC Evo 3 + DSSR
    AFE CAI
    New Difsonline dif
and finally a set of Apex ARC-8 18x9.5 ET22 square in Hyper Black

I didn't list a lot of little things done. Just the main stuff. This car was 100% gone though not a single bushing wasn't touched.

As for future plans I plan on keeping the car relatively as is for this year while changing a bunch of stuff next year. (Located in Wisconsin) so it will be garaged all winter. I am watching the prices on OEM CSL trunk lids, waiting for them to return to normal so I can pick one up and not feel bad for my bank account. I am also watching for a local Cinnamon/Imola interior I can buy to swap in. Not a huge black-on-black guy myself.

A few weeks later I found a set of Amber LED tails off a car with less than 60k miles on them at a scrapyard. Purchased them for a measly $150 shipped
The original taillights were OEM clears with an amber film that made them look orange in some light and yellow in others. It bothered me.

I'll try my best to keep this thread updated! I have a bunch of E46 parts that I would like to sell on here, so it's better that I have a few posts under my belt!

Coming from E36s it's just natural and they look at home with Jet Black!

Yes, it's the Turner/ECS High kick spoiler.
Not my style TBH but the PO of the car put it on really well so I am kinda too lazy to remove it.

Small little update. Had to do a starter as the car quit starting, Also added an Eisenmann Race muffler with the 83mm tips and got a steal of a deal on a SuperSprint X pipe for $200 shipped.
The big update I have is that the first day I bought this car I wanted to swap the interior to something cooler. A good friend of mine reached out about a parts car he just purchased and it had a MINT Imola interior. 83k miles.
Too bad its snowing up in Wisconsin and the car is unfortunately in a storage unit as I lost access to my shop space for a few months :/ Looks good in the garage at least!

It'll look beautiful with that IR interior.

Thanks for the excuse to update.
Last season, Some notable things I did included the Imola Red interior, did sparkplugs, a Valve cover gasket, and a starter along with installing the Esienmann Race section 3 and Supersprint non-resonated X pipe. I also switched back from Ambers to clears with the addition of Imola. If it was cinnamon I would have kept the ambers.

I have a huge list of stuff to do this spring. I have a Siemens CID to replace my faulty BM54 radio and a full Bavsound speaker kit with the D110 subwoofer.

I need to re-lube my swaybar bushings, Redye my rear deck, Fix a crack on my front bumper, and install a new lip. Do the valve shim service, Full fluid change Engine,Trans,Diff, Brake.

Find a local place that will re-wrap my A and C pillars with the correct BM-3109 fabric. I can do the B pillars easy myself.

While installing my HBIN 1x1 rear diffuser I want to pull the rear bumper off, clean it and do the sag fix.

Fix my mirror heaters being on all the time. and possibly install some headers.
Then I also found a rust spot last fall under my gas cap hinge that I will be attending to when I have the rear carpets out for the sub-installation.

Here are some pictures of the 83k mile interior after installation before wiping everything down. Along with some photos taken this past year at the dragon.
