IIRC the rarest factory combo was oxford green on mtexture with only 10 being ordered world wide. 6 LHD, 4 RHD. One of the 4 RHD ones is for sale atm on one of the japanese auction sites interestingly.

Sub 1,000 miles brings the big ballers to the table. Does that car exist or is this hypothetical?

Laguna Seca blue in North America
Coupe=1128
Convertible=417
Pheonix Yellow in North America
Coupe=523
Convertible=208
And LSB are on BAT more frequently since one sold for 90k years ago. Now every LSB owner think their car will skyrocket too!!

I'm 100% in agreement with you here. As of late, I think LSB are generally owned by short term owners looking to flip 'em and PY have been mostly owned by long term enthusiasts that bought 'em because they personally loved that color.
I did too, until the 25,000$ CAD estimate showed up ahah.
Funny you say that about Melbourne, it was the first M3 I ever test drove in 2011 and put a deposit on it. Ended up in a Space Grey - I was young, and shy? Whatever.
I'm all about them flashy colors.
I'm all about flashy colors too. Imola Z4M, PY E46 and IB '13 E92M 6spd comp. I need purple M next

PY and cinnamon are great IMO, but not when they’re paired together. PY only deserves black lol.

Then you have lack of ZCP and rarity of late model cars where PY greatly suffers. Other colors with these specs do very well on bat. Good luck finding an 04-06 PY. You're basically left with a bunch of beat left over 01-02 high mileage cars which perform slightly worse than their poor performing LSB counterpart.

And more LSBs trade hands on BAT in general, not necessarily at higher prices and not necessarily cream of the crop examples. Last two cars were super high mileage cars that were dumped on BAT and they happily listed them to make a profit. Is LSB worth more than PY? sure it is proven that it is. It is also easier to find for sale than PY. It has been that way for as long as I remember, despite production numbers. That is the only thing I'm trying to emphasize. If there are less LSBs in existence and trade hands more frequently than PY then does that mean PY owners are more happy with the color than LSB owners? You can interpret the data however you wants.
