My 06 M3 ZCP

Here is my 06 M3 ZCP (SMG). Previously had an 02 M3 but parted it out after owning it for 4yrs. Due to the high mileage (170k) and basically full rebuild including BBK, CSL intake, SMG swap, exhaust etc. I then bought a 17 GT350 but hated it and traded in for my current 06 M3 (40k at time of purchase). Currently has 61k. (I left out a lot of other stuff I’ve done)

Day I bought it..


Installed RE el Diablo, Euro Sec 1 and AP headers. Did the subframe with Redish plates and AKG black bushings subframe/diff/RTA. New flex disk, SPC rear control arms, CSB, all fluids and CPV oring



Vanos rebuild.. no broken tab.


Found a set of R/F Porsche brakes.. only lightly sanded the logos, added Brembo stickers and clear coated them.







ST XTA coilovers, TMS monoball FCAB and sway bar.


SGT SCZA TRUNK - New plates, no smog!


Clear xenon lens and Osram CBB 7k


Had a Dinan Bar and intake.. intake didn't make too much of a difference compared to OEM.


Switch to a DMG Raw strut bar. AFD Flex Kit.. and recently got rid of the Eventuri..

I'm curious, what aspects of the GT350 make you say this? At least to me, it's one of my attainable dream cars - a car that's mostly setup out of the box for track (pads/fluid excluded) with a sound from that voodoo engine like no other.

Just a mix of things. Cheap interior, car felt like a boat and the steering was really upsetting felt like I was driving a regular mustang. Was also having some minor issues with the engine and dealing with Ford was a PITA.

Decide to clean the wheel wells while the wheels are getting powder coated.

I’m from north of Austin but currently working in CA. So the car is currently here in CA.

Decided to do an oil changed and replaced the rod bearings while I was in there. ACL rod bearings w/ OEM bolts and tie rods. (Skipped a few items since I had already done them not too long ago) 06 didn’t get the service action so believe they are original. 61k miles. Top 1 and 5 were starting to show a bit of copper.
