    Shop to rebuild differential?

Just moved to the bay area, any recommendations for a shop to deal with rebuilding a diff and getting rear sorted. Thanks

silicon valley bimmer in santa clara installed my 4.1 diff. They were fantastic. The only issue I had was that they couldn't source a part and I ended up googling it and having it sent from a speedshop in London.

You had a diff with 4.10 already in it and the shop took that diff and installed on the car, or, they took your diff out of the car, took it apart, installed 4.10, shimmed/adjusted backlash, and then put back into the car?

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.
