tool32, those that have changed their VIN

i need to change my VIN on my MSS54HP using CSL tune

i have been following this tutorial to a "T" but keep getting "rejected". Adding / Updating your VIN & AIF with Tool32 - ECUWorx

anyone done this? have any input? ive tried about 6-7 times, made sure all my numbers are correct, just wont accept it. I have been told that i have to use Tool32 to make this change as im using the CSL files and hardware

What string did you use to write?

here is the string:

using "slot" 5,note the "date" is from yesterday, havent tried today yet. another friend who has the same swap, had to change his VIN this way, and he said it took him about 10-12 tries before it accepted it, I also emailed "Martyn" at Ecuwerx he also asked to see the string i wrote in. Im following the instructions perfectly so i really dont know what the issue is.

please also note, there is NO space between the "7 and 8" i tried to edit the post and it keeps putting a space there, theres no space in my string

GOT IT

well i dont know what changed, but after 4 attempts today it took it, confirmed with INPA afterwards. people told me it takes several tries and they werent kidding. if it fails or rejects... just double click "seed_key" paste again and click "aif_scheiben"..keep doing that unitl you see "OKAY"
