hi, not sure if Im in the right place to ask, but from going through the post...there are some smart mf here!! my problem?.. i have a 2001 330ci manual. its been like 4 yrs since this code has popped up. i know that it is a communication error cause it looking for the egs..but my car is 5 speed. and i am the 1st and only owner of this car. i cant pass smog here in wonderful cali, cause the check engine light is on. do i need a specific tyoe of obd11 reader or program to fix this problem? ....thanks for you time and input....
