EWS delete with Terra's modified CSL file

I'm having a strange intermittent issue where the EWS hates me. It's most likely a failed module as it said ECU not recognized. It's also strange it said ECU, not DME. Tomato, tomato I guess.

The issue I'm having is a no crank. The key is recognized and I have term 15 without an issue. Now the question:
Using the Modification Tool for an EWS delete, will this alter the wrong part of the boot sector or should it ideally work? Also, will it overwrite any tune I have since it is recognizing the car as having CSL software? I'm not trying to walk the DME bricked road here.
This is my Unbuild Journal and why we need an oil thread

If you didn't clear the ISN turn off EWS in the tune and be done with this. Dme is probably throwing an EWS manipulation code as the ews isn't aligned to the dme.
