Reading codes I can't find a definition for

2001 e46 M3

I have a Creator C501 reader and I'm getting the following codes.
A1 Function, Knock Control
0A Signal camshaft sensor exhaust bank 1
0F Camshaft sensor 1 synchronization to crankshaft

I can't find any info on these codes or what they mean, are they familiar to anyone?

The first thing to do is to clear your dtc and check if they reappear because you maybe don't know how old are they.

If dtc 0A and 0F reappear, your exhaust camshaft sensor is probably out of order. Replace it and these two dtc will disappear.

For the A1 dtc it can be more complicated. Have you an oem tune ?

As dinosaur-like INPA can be, I would highly recommend getting it. There are versions that will function on Windows 10. There, you can also read actual values to see if the sensor is bad, which it most likely is.

MpowerE36 , the oem tune is long gone, had the ECU cleaned of all the extra features that weren't absolutely necessary by Kassel Performance and they installed their street tune. The engine seems to running very well at the moment, just took it out for the first drive of the season and it's just as good as when I put the car away for the winter.

Did you check what he has done about knock regulation in your tune ?

I remembered I had done some work near the camshaft sensor recently so went back to have a look around and found the plug to the cam sensor had worked itself loose. Plugged that back in and all is good now, no codes.
