I hate of having my black engine tray got hit by the parking concrete block, thinking of adding a distance sensor to help me during front-in parking. Mounting the sensor on the bottom of the “big mouth “ which is about 5” front of the tray to detect the block and then grounding the oil pressure sensor to turn on the red oil light (or any better indicator ideas).
This is the sensor I want to use:
The output is an analog voltage proportional to the object distance, and it’s fed to a small PSOC Eval board to do ADC conversion, then grounds the oil sensor signal based on the detected distance.
