Sorry this is not M3 related but I have been hitting a wall with this and thought someone here would be able to guide me in the correct direction.
2008 BMW X3 (e83) 3.0SI - N52 engine - Siemens MSV80 DME
This is my son's car and he had been having intermittent start problems. After changing a couple of starters, the car no longer wants to crank.
I am 99% sure it is the EWS (4.4) what is causing the issue. INPA only sees the engine module on this car, so I could not use it, but the Foxwell 510 does and it tells me that the keys are recognized but the Starter wire from the DME is blocked. I was able to start the car by providing 12v straight to the starter signal wire.
Does anyone knows someone that could help me solve this? I rather not code out the EWS, but if its what I have to do then so be it. The car has been sitting for a month now and he needs it for school.
If anyone can recommend anyone, I would appreciate it. It goes without saying that I am willing to pay for this.
Thanks
