Tapping into the CAN bus

After reading a few threads on here, it seems the easiest wat is to connect inline with the steering angle sensor.

Just a few questions:

How do you get access to the steering angle sensor, is it located inside the car?


I know someone mentioned the steering angle sensor loom plug and socket parts numbers but i cannot find the post. Could someone please repost them here?

Thanks for your George. I'm in the UK. So I'll try to get the connectors and make up an adapter cable.

Thats the non DIY version.

If you want to make it yourself goto the junkyard and cut the end off the steering angle sensor and the body harness splice the wires together and add pigtails for CAN, B+ & B- and easy peasy.
