Can MSS54HP adequately adapt to oem euro headers WITHOUT euro cats??

Currently working on helping a friend of mine with smg to manual swap but while he is in there we will be slapping on the euro headers without cats. The cats are pretty hard to find as yall know so im wondering how well the DME will adapt.

I prepared the tune for it by comparing the Euro bin files on github and adjusted all the parameters to my friends tune.

Thanks to the guys at ECUWORX for the tool which helped finish up the other more nuanced parameters.

My question would be for you tuners out there..

Will i have to enrich the fueling to compensate?

My plan is to read the fuel trims and adjust anything above 5% lean. Thanks

Why not just flash the euro tune?

MSS54/HP use narrow band O2 sensors. My very basic understanding is that the DME can adapt to part throttle stuff, but once you go wide open throttle, the O2 sensors are no longer adjusting fuel trims and it is basically on a fixed map. Because you are increasing flow, the map that controls WOT fueling will be slightly lean in certain spots. Karter16 can correct me on this

If you cannot find a Euro section 1, you can build one from the factory section 1. All you need are two HJS cats which are 500 each and welding them in shouldn't cost too much. Flash Euro tune and it should be good to go.
