I have an 04 M3 with the MK60.
Recently I’ve swapped standalone systems from aem infinity to the maxxecu, as my car has a turbo setup.
On the infinity, I didn’t have any issues but on the maxxecu I’m seeing a DSC and BRAKE light. The code that is stored is 5e59 coding error.
a few things to note - nothing has changed in the car between swapping the ecu. However..the maxxecu runs a ms43 protocol, not the Mss54 and I’m wondering if the communication between them is different. Both maxxecu and Gunner at PNPecu who made the jumper harness (all other can features work) have said nobody else is having this issue. However another individual with a Z4m that has this similar setup also has these lights.
I’m looking for some help with this one. I’m fairly new to NCS expert, but have the tool suite including INPA, tool32 winked etc.
One time I did the coding and came up with a coding error which triggered a log of some sort.
is there something that I need to enable / disable? What information can I provide, to get to the right place.
I don’t love seeing the lights on my dash when all else is good.
