    BMWFlasher Issue Reading

I was trying to use BMWFlasher today. The program recognized my device and stated "ready to scan." I clicked file, read DME, and BMWFlasher seemed to try to give read. After 15-20 seconds, it showed the original "ready to scan" screen. Any ideas what it may be? Below is the screen I had.

I did not try MSSFlasher, I suppose I can give it a shot in the morning but wanted to try using BMWFlasher.

Have you used BMWflash with your current cable successfully in the past?
Do you have the correct FTDI drivers for your cable installed?

    Here is how mine looks.

I have not ever used BMW Flash before, so maybe my cable wasn’t compatible? I did try going to help -> install drivers and it seemed to do something but not sure if that was correct.

That looks very much like Frieling type cable, which won't work with BMWFlash or MSSFlasher.

I went to go buy one of ecuworx but the shipping to the states kind of sucked. Is the one that buildjournal links on their site (an Amazon link) sufficient?

Grab a cable from Bimmergeeks if I were you.

I make a loss on shipping due to the fact that the padded envelopes I send them in are classed as small parcels rather than a large letter
