I'm running 17x9.5" ET35 + 7.5mm spacer up front and 17x10" ET25 in the rear. Clears just barely up front, but there's tons of room in the rear.

      275's all the way around?
      Old, not obsolete.

My 18x9.5" ARC8s in ET35 require at least 5mm spacers to clear the 996 brakes with Rally Road brackets at the spokes, but at that point you need a hub extender or spacer with one built-in to stay hubcentric. It's annoying.

For something different, there is a Fuchs fully forged 18x9 ET29 wheel that will clear most BBKs with room to spare

I'm running 255 square on the aforementioned wheels.

Style 513M? That's what I originally wanted as track wheels after seeing your car on them, but unfortunately harder to find these days. Especially compared to ARC8s

              Thanks.

              255/40R17?

Pricing looks pretty good at that size. Any issues around the reduction in circumference from the more customary sizes? What tires are you using?

RE71RS. Unfortunately not a ton of options for those at 17, so yep running 255/40R17. TPMS notices pretty much immediately and the beep always freaks me out, but other than that no issues.

Thanks. Not a ton of options, but quite a few. NT01, RE71RS, Continental, RA1, R1R, R888R, RS4, RT660, RT615K, V730, AD09, A052, A055, Proxes RR and R, BFG, . NT01 and RE71RS seem to be the cream of the crop, but I hear okay stuff about many of the others as well.

I doubt I am a good enough driver to notice a big difference between a 275 and a 255, and the 255's are cheaper. Might be the way for me to go.

It will gear up the car a little bit. The downside is a smaller outer diameter tire can start to overheat if you're running at a high speed track like COTA or Road America which will accelerate wear and likely have less overall grip.

But a 255/40R17 it probably right on the edge, should be OK. I tried a 245/40R17 and it was too small.

Oh I meant specifically for the RE71RS. Wanted to try that tire out and 255/40 was the only adequate option for a 17" wheel.

I don’t like the way the 265 RE71 RS is wearing.

I’ve been rotating and adjusting pressures a couple PSI but I’m still getting irregular wear Click image for larger version

Mine are doing the exact same thing. Doesn't seem to affect driving much... yet

Same situation here, but the 5mm still leaves enough hub lip if you have aftermarket wheels with a smaller inside bore chamfer. Stock wheels' chamfer is larger and you gotta go to 3mm.

                                Front or rear tire?

                                Either way, that isn't abnormal.
