Slip-on turn down tip recommendations for BW exhaust?

How did you attach it? I got one but am unsure of how to mount it.

I notched the large end on two sides so the strap style clamp would squeeze it tight around the end of the exhaust.

On my short test drive near our home, the turn down helped significantly.

I'm thinking of adding this to my BW race exhaust. I was measured at 105db and need to lower it to 102db. Am a little skeptical that this turndown would do the trick, but it seems it might be enough.
