New PB at my local track, still on those used 245 A052s. They gave up the ghost a session after this one. I want to do a 1:45 here on street tires. Almost there.
Biggest slip and slide bloopers from that.
You can roast 3rd gear with 200tws!
How much track out? All of it

Big bend and rattlesnake - have an easy second probably in each turn. Entering ricochet, I really need to left foot brake there because I'm not trying to scrub speed...just want to get some weight on the front tire so it turns. But that is not worth much time.Originally posted by nytgamgingcs View Post
Good stuff, where do you make up the most time here, and where do you lose it? I'm thinking of trying cresson next season
I am much more comfortable on the new side - 1.3 mile course.
The 3.1 mile course is awesome! I think it is the best track in TX. The 1.7 mile...it is hard to justify towing my car 4.5 hours from Houston to drive the 1.7.Last edited by bigjae46; 01-17-2026, 05:39 PM.

Last month at Pitt Race. Found some improvement over last year, and had fun as always, but couldn't find traction anywhere. Serves me right for trying to stretch a set of RE71s so far, I suppose.
Unfortunately, this was the last time ever since the track has officially shut down. A massive loss for the community. If you've ever been there, you know how tragic losing this track is. It will be missed.

This past weekend at VIR. I only go to this track once a year but was able to find 7 seconds from the same event last year. Pretty happy with it.

Some videos from my past weekend at MSRH trying to kill off some older Direzzas I had and helping put some rubber back down at MSR, been closed for 3 months for repairs.. Also testing out the new MCS for the first time. Pace was off but had a great time.
Getting a little too comfortable sliding the car, video a wife got of me chasing a E46 and sliding all the way out to the wall:
Can see the car has no more lateral grip in it for the high speed lol:
Last but not least, trying to impress my friend Haas old SCCA Champion on my homemade slicks with the sun in my eyes. He is my neighbor so we carpool to the track. I got a "nice" and thumbs up for one of the sections so I take that as a win. Last part was going to the fastest lap of the weekend but hit traffic.

Thanks!! So good to be back out in the 46. Rebuild project took a lot longer than it should have, but life, work and other projects get in the way. Next race weekend is 10/11th October so will have more videos up then. Discovered I was running about 90% front brake bias during those last races, so sorting that out alone should help stopping distances and times.Originally posted by PenguinScotty View Post
Was great seeing your videos pop up in my YouTube subscriptions again after many years, haha. Car looks great and the gearmotiv box is really nice. Few friends here are running their h-pattern box, currently trying to convince them to go with the sequential so i can get their h-patterns :P.
Also just snagged a set of MRT front arms so looking forward to getting those on.
Looking forward to more vids!
Can't fault the Gearmotive product and service, top guys to deal with and everything went together nicely - they even made me a custom shifter with a 0-5V analogue strain sensor to work with the AEM and exchanged the original. Highly recommended!
