Dude, you obviously have NO business organizing a group buy. You can't become super defensive for people asking you to provide more details. In this day and age, if you can't provide detailed info with pics, NO one will jump in. Even with detailed info with pics, people will suspect that you are trying to scam them. Next time, stop being defensive and provide as much detailed info as possible. The more details you provide, the more trust you will build with potential buyers. Also, there's no shame in making extra money or get free parts for organizing a group buy. So, be upfront about it and consider that money or parts as the salary you made by organizing a group buy. Just a $0.02 from a guy who organized several group buys in the past...

I doubt OP was trying to scam however, this still had the red flags if something went wrong out of just human unintentional error. He bit off more than he could chew and quickly realized group buys aren't worth the effort. That's why people try to make some money off of them. It takes work. Effort was definitely needed from the OP especially considering he is the only point of contact with this shop. Intentions were good but actions were lacking. Spending time with children is not an excuse to not follow through. It is wrong to attempt to flip the bill and make it seem like everyone else is wrong for requesting time that was already offered. This thread was frustrating to read simply because of the OP.This is my Unbuild Journal and why we need an oil thread
