    For Sale: OE CSL Trunk Lid (Genuine BWM Part) - E46 SilverGray Painted [SOLD]

    [SOLD] a Genuine BMW CSL Trunk Lid. It is the OE carbon part, the REAL thing. Painted in silvergray. Intended for a CSL conversion, but never had the chance to do it, just sold the car.

    Trunk lid is in overall great condition, except two small paint chips on the rear edge. Pictures can be found on my flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjB7VZ4

    Item is located in Irvine, CA. Asking $1500 local pickup. Sorry we cannot ship.

    OE is not made out of CF. you may want to post pix of the OE stamp

      Fiberglass? My memory might not be serving me well regarding the material, it has been sitting in the garage for years (bought it back in 2019). But it is indeed OE part, for sure.

      I refuse to put anything non-OE on my own car, BTW

              OE csl trunks are made out of SMC, which materials wise, is a type of plastic. It's slightly lighter than metal, but seems to be a very reproducible material for consistent fitment (optimal for making something like a trunk)

              It doesn't look like BMW prioritized lightening the CSL in the rear

                      that is a rip off. $500 is more than reasonable to paint an already primed brand new part ready for base coat and clear.
