Your 06 will have the Kevlar bar already installed — you install this onto it. To my knowledge there isn’t really any additional hardware needed.

How does your MEC bumper compare to the 1:1 replica available from Alsatek? Pricing shipped would them very similar in cost

Not sure. I never considered Alsatek because MEC is considered the gold standard for these cars if you can get them.

You must have not done your research. Alsatek is made as a CSL replica which means you need to fit to an M3 that uses an aluminum carrier. If your car has a kevlar carrier, you're going to spend additional money trying to convert it properly to an aluminum carrier type which means you'll need those front bumper shocks, and also figure out what to do with washer fluid reservoir and horn. This is not talked about much since many people have not actually looked into what it takes to fit an Alsatek bumper to a kevlar carrier M3. But it's not apples to apples comparison here.

This is an excellent deal for a bumper that is not currently being made since I believe they are working on other projects. I would 1000% buy this, but I have no need as I have an older MEC bumper.

edit: you also need to get bumper cover guard brackets if you want the underpanels to fit properly. Go with Alsatek if you have alum carrier, MEC with kevlar.
