As some of you followed in my other thread, I rebuilt two SMG pumps with new seals, pumps and accumulators. Here is my second pump for sale which I tested over the weekend to ensure functionality and proper pressure buildup. I did not install the new motor (I used an older motor to test), but the new OEM motor will be included.
1. MLR full SMG pump seal kit ($200)
2. New SMG pump thermostat ($25)
3. New SMG pressure sensor ($90)
4. New MLR upgraded capacity accumulator ($600)
5. New OEM pump (unsoldered, unpinned) ($300)
You’ll need to either (1) solder the new pump to the harness (pretty easy, I just didn’t do that on this pump) or (2) get new pin connectors to use on the new pump. Option one is the fastest and easiest and is what I did with the other pump.
The pump itself was from my 52K mile M3 SMG convertible (since sold, had done a pump relocation with another low-mileage pump). Nothing was wrong with the pump, I just did it out of boredom.
I’ll bolt the motor down and apply the appropriate grease in the pump/motor connection, and I’ll also install the factory brackets in the event you’re installing in the factory location.
$1,500 shipped and insured!
