As far as the pre-ordered units when we recieved they were not perfect and had to make changes to each and every one as we posted about. the next batch of 100 pieces will have all changes done by factory.

I thought it was supposed to be plug and play? That doesn't appear to be plug and play :/.

I installed mine the other day and it is plug and play if you have the cigarette lighter in the ashtray area. You just have to remove the shifter trim area and piggy back into the 12V/Ground that goes into the cigarette lighter

I received mine as well. Everything seems a little rushed. It's a solid piece, but a little more time to refine and polish everything would go a long way. I was a bit miffed there was nothing in the package regarding any instructions.

I want to say that would go to the cigarette lighter wiring. Of course if you didn't have that option (my car did) then I don't know.

Yea idk where to even connect those wires in that area.

There's a connector under the carpet below the center console with power and ground. Power is the red wire with a green stripe, and brown is ground.

Still, I'm not gonna touch my wiring harness to install this, so thankfully I have the 18-pin connector that mates to the eject box connector (in question).

Just got mine in. Haven’t test fitted yet but it looks pretty solid. Finish isn’t exact match, looks to be grainy and shiny. But it’s close enough for now.

Can one of you guys do a write up on install? At least for the electrical part. I’m clueless when it comes to wiring

Thanks for the update, I was beginning to get concerned.

E46 charger update: we are working everyday to get as many units out as fast we we can. We are having to modify every one by trimming and also reinforcing all 4 mounting tabs on each unit. We are also test fitting every single charger in 2 oem consoles (1 on a table and 1 mounted in a car) this will ensure they fit perfect when they get to each of you. We also are testing the electronics once installed in each one. So you can image the time each unit takes. Thank you all for your patience.

Hope that this product actually gets to everyone that has ordered it and it doesn't turn out like one of the many stories I've heard about Status Gruppe.
