If you want an investment, find a good financial advisor.

A few grand in the bank will never compensate for not driving these cars.
I agree but if they are actually managing to sell them at these inflated prices then I'll have to think about getting a new daily driver!

    Mmhh.. :gayfight:

AFAIK only about 300 cars in the UK, Hexagon have over 1% & enjoy customers who live on Bishops Avenue.

Some are sadly no longer with us, others have been exported; Eastern Europe and the Far East. There is even one to be found in South Korea - but don't tell the North. :hahaha:

              There's 2 distinct sellers.

              Hexagon and everyone else!

The fact remains there are the same 5-6 cars up for sale privately which are all 50-68k miles, about £25-29k. Quite a few have warranties too. Not one has sold. Pre-Munich 10th anniversary trip I would have thought at least 1 or 2 might have.

There are then 4 cars at Hexagon, 24-55k milers, up for £36-£54k.

Some of these cars have to sell presumably at some point. Let's see what happens to prices.

You ex-car now has a warranty, but is not ultra low mileage. Do you think it will sell at the price advertised?

I hope it does as the expected sale price was the basis on which I negotiated a price to sell to them in the first place. It was a win-win deal at the time.

I wonder whether Mondial would stand by my ex-car (or others with >2yr gaps in service history) later down the line.

I do wish I had used my CSL more over the last 10 years, but I have had so many other cars that I used day to day and really don't have the heart to part with it as everytime I do drive it (rarely) it just put's a massive smile on my face.

This is relevant. Hexagon paid £41k for the 10k miles car they offered at £53k, and sold.

There is the realisable value for a car and the hexagon sales price which does help lift all ships. The difference is at least £10k, and around £12k for the lower mileage cars. If you want to prove it, just call them and ask what they will offer you for an identical mileage car they are sellng.

Ultimately, it boils down to negotiation in the end, but I'd say this was a good guide to bear in mind.

It's also worth mentioning, for anyone looking to sell to Hexagon, it really was a very simple straightforward transaction. Chap I dealt with was a good guy.

The reality is that few, if any, individuals will make big enough bucks to justify the ownership of CSL's as an investment. The real return is in the enjoyment of the cars.

Dealerships make the big bucks - that is the their business.

I know the guy that they sold the very low mile one for. They returned him £46k so it was surely sold for >£50k!
