Yes mate, all sorted by Murketts under warranty. When they take the clutch plate out,if its not worn below 1.1mm they can give you a new clutch and flywheel under warranty, mine was on 62k and the techy said it would have done the same again. It would have cost about £1400.:thumbs:The gear change is sharp again now through the whole rev range. It will make your eyes water in maximum attack mode:supz:

Tell them the problem and ask them to fix it they will ask you to autherise them to take the clutch out about 3 hours if the clutch is above 1.1mm then its good and they will replace it free under warranty.

My CSL had done 52000 miles and was not under 1.1mm they come with 2.0mm new i got a new clutch and flywheel as it was blue with the slip

The clutch adaptor cant take all the little changes up thats when you get clutch slip / slurry.

I know of about 8 cars that have done this and all get new clutch and flywheel under warranty

    Problem solved

There's actually 3 adaptation settings for the SMG clutch alone.

The first is a clutch curve reset (done with the car off)
The second is clutch take up point reset (done with the car off)
the last and most important is the clutch slip reinitialisations (done with the car on)

Personally I think the last re-adaptation makes the biggest difference to the way the clutch behaves (I reset each separately on mine to see what the difference was and it was only on the last re-adaptation that I really noticed a difference). This last re-adaptation change the tolerance given for clutch slip and takes into account wear and the SAC (Self Adjusting Clutch pressure plate) self adjustments.

My clutch is really new however and even that makes a difference to the way it would engage (most noticeable on take off and initial engagement).

I didn't have any slur as such, but did notice a slight slip on intial engagement - it was only upon the last re-adaptation that this cleared completely.

I am making it a habit now to re-adapt the clutch setting on a regular basis and hopefully this will prolong my clutch (theoratically it should) - we shall see!!

I want to try this under warranty,as the slur has now come back, sometimes its ok.My CSL is now on 60k,what state will the clutch be in,do i risk it being under 1.1,most of the time it shifts as is should,so i think the clutch is fine, dont know what to do.:bigcry:

I had mine replaced under warranty like this about 1.5 years ago. Same issue, next to no wear and faulty clutch wear compensator diagnosed. New clutch unit and flywheel fitted. :smokin:
