I know it's not up to Marks and Duncs but I'm just thinking there must be a limit. I may look at monthly payments, it is very reassuring having it in place

When is the best time to go monthly, renewal I assume? I might consider it too but doubt I'll be going Comp this year, Named with a £250 Excess and maybe include breakdown for me I think.Originally posted by s.mac View PostI know it's not up to Marks and Duncs but I'm just thinking there must be a limit. Worded badly, just meant you won't be given warranty at the lower rate BUT also if they find out you renewed monthly at lower rate but later their records say you were above 60k miles, they can void your policy just when you need itOriginally posted by Dan View PostLOL What do you mean you won't get warranty when you renew at lower rate?

Ahh right thanks mate, my warranty is due March with mileage probably on 49k by then, think now is as good a time as any to go monthlyOriginally posted by shimmy View PostWorded badly, just meant you won't be given warranty at the lower rate BUT also if they find out you renewed monthly at lower rate but later their records say you were above 60k miles, they can void your policy just when you need it

What mileage has the clutch done?Originally posted by MKoop View PostBooked my car into BMW this morning to remove my clutch due to clutch slip. I was hoping that it was above 1.1mm to have it replaced under warranty but just got a call saying that it is worn out:banghead: Not going to be cheap. Should I change the flywheel as well??
I personally would doubt it has worn and if I has it's probably because of the continuous slipping caused by the adhustor

No good sending me the pics, just get them to confirm what the starting thickness is and also the end thickness and ask them to show you when you arrive.
I suppose 60k on one clutch for a manual is high but on SMG wear should be minimal unless slipping
Are you sure this is first clutch? Ask them to look at history

I got him to measure it and he rang me back saying that it is 1.2mm but it won't be covered because it is worn out. It's the original clutch.
