    Lazyness...! :bigcry:

I spoke to Anthony at Simpson today and he says it's highly unlikely that the seals have failed so soon (20 months old kit) and reckons they just need tightening up again.

I have a torque wrench en-route to me now so i will check all unions myself before the re-test.

Its very common to get a tiny amount of misting on the banjo joints, a bit of misting is not an MOT fail though. Just tighten up wipe off and take back for retest. Then as you get in car park take your rag and wipe again just to be sure. If it was leaking your pedal would go to the floor.

Just the usual anal Jobsworth dealer bods who act like robots and dont make decisions themselves.

        Well, it's failed! :banghead:

        3 x leaking brake callipers...

I'm rather pissed off in truth as the 'worst' was a very slow weep from the inboard bleed nipple on a rear calliper - which simply needed tightening a little to stop it.

The other two were that there was evidence of 'brake fluid moistness' around the banjo bolt end of the supply pipe - no leaks, drips or even weeps - just 'moistness'. With that, BMW technician man resolutely stuck to the MOT testing schedule and the car was failed.

        BMW dealerships = very annoying!

Not gonna pay them a penny to sort it as they 'don't touch AP brakes' so i will order new sealing washers from AP tomorrow and do it myself. Just need to get a bleeder kit and learn how to bleed the brakes now... :bigcry:

Cheers mate - will do.

The tech was being anal - i had insist that he tighten the bleed nipple to see if it stopped the weep - which it did, but he didn't want to touch the banjo joints. Like you say - jobsworth robots!

Well, i received my torque wrench through the post so checked the brakes over and check tightened all bleed nipples and banjo bolts i.a.w. the AP handbook settings.

No big surprise to find that the 3 banjo bolts that had shown evidence of a fluid leak were ever so slightly loose so i torqued them tight again.

Lets see what the feckers at BMW have to say Thursday when i take it back for a re-test! :bigcry:
