Yes sir! They are Apex ARC-8's size 18x9.5 et35, tire size 265/35/18, 15mm spacers in the rear, -2 camber all the way around wrapped in Michelin PSS! Wheels weigh 18.8 lbs.

So much better w/out the front plate.:smokin:
I agree!!! And gladly pay the fine when I get pulled over by the police. Only happened once though, other times I've gotten warnings... I think the officers agree with me. When they ask why no plate, I honestly tell them it looks horrible, and the car came from a state where no front plate is required, so no holes in the bumper either! lol

It's Smurf Blue (aka Laguna Seca blue) which was a launch colour for the E46 M3.

Are you sure about this ?

Would like to know how the exhaust scavange
is improved by simply coating the exterior of the
                      header/ exhaust manifold ?

''scavenging, which is a very complex field. One of the things that impacts on exhaust scavenging is the duration of the exhaust pulse, which is inversely proportional to engine RPM. If you have relatively long primaries, the exhaust pulses are less likely to interfere at low RPM at the collector and more likely to assist in the evacuation of the other primaries, increasing efficiency. The easier your engine can "exhale" the more fuel-air mix it can process and the more horsepower it can produce.

At the low to mid end, the best way to maximize your scavenging effect, thus helping to maximize your engine's V.E., Is to move the exhuast out of the engine as fast as possible, or with as much velocity as possible. Long tubes work best for this because of their length, and their width (well, lack of width). Thier length allows an elongated path for the gas to flow, thus allowing the gas to leave the cylinder with more speed because the gas has more time to gain velocity before it hits the collector.''

                      Regards,

                      The Gorilla.

there is a reason why f1 teams use zircotec tho I would have thought?

Haven't you just listed one of many factors?

anything that will stop a gas cooling down, and therefore slowing down will help I would imagine?

For sure Zircotec will bring down the under bonnet temp,
which means the gases in the exhaust stay hotter.

Have a look at some 'coated' exhaust manifolds after
say 10,000 miles , which F1 and Race cars do not
                            exceed to without rebuilds etc.

Scavenge is very complex as already stated, and
raising the exhaust gas temp does not mean that
scavange is improved, more so when running
Cats, which F1 Car's etc do not.

                            Regards,

What are your thoughts on "coated" exhausts. And any science behind it G man?

We had a discussion about this the other day in work.

                              Pro';s and cons.

I wondered if i could avoid a bigger oil cooler by running coated manifold but wasnt sure on the knock on effects:smokin:
