I just checked pelican's site again and the ones I ordered are specific to the e36 M3 and are metal reinforced. PN is 18-20-1-401-797.Originally posted by numik99You have PM!

Do you guys think I'll be able to return them if they are flimsy?

Okay, so I received them from Pelican and they are metal reinforced. Almost impossible to bend. I will compare them to the OE mounts as soon as I do the install. Also, the gaskets seem to be metal. Are there any other gaskets that I'll need? Paper/fiber?Originally posted by fiveightandtenPelican is the the TJ Max of BMW parts.
Pelican hangers are all rubber. I've received 2 separate orders of hangers from them like this and i'll never order another set from them again. In fact, as good as their website, inventory, and customer service is...I think i'm done ordering stuff from those guys. I'm just tired of going through the guesswork or whether of not i'm getting a part that's of comparable quality to the rest of the suppliers. very often, it's not the case with those guys.
I have hangers from Pelican on my exhaust now. It rocks back and forth like a seesaw. I went out and bought BMW hangers just because the Pelican ones were so flimsy.

My mounts were still good on my System U, but when I traded for the Gen 3, the mounts on got on it, were shot.. Oh well.. new mounts for me, and I'll reinforce them before install
Can't wait to see your car and hang out when you come down for the meet.
