I see. Have no experience with that version. Neither EasyDis.

    I use DIS v57.

Well, I finally got DIS to work...it took a little tweaking; however, once one understands the Virtual Machine and the neat feature of recovering after a crash or lock-up, it's kind of cool. Wished I had bought a larger laptop...the 11inch screen makes navigation cumbersome.

When it still didn't find the vehicle information automatically, I didn't feel good; so after inputting info manually, I did a short test just on the DME...the sad news, Control Unit not found. So, the used DME with no blemish and no sign of entry is NOT good...bummer.

I'll do a complete short test of all items tomorrow. Also, INPA was working...it couldn't find the DME!

That could be the interface maybe? Not sure if the DME requiers an ADS interface.

I use a netbook. I up the resolution when using DIS, so I don't need to scroll the screen.

That's a big maybe...I am wondering whether the ApiTest feature of EasyDis could eliminate that variable...will check with David Mc.

Dis would not read my car with the old cable.

Looks as if I be getting this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261951836011...seems the best deal and not too far from me...thanks for sharing. I might talk a friend to let go a Toshiba if confirms with serial port.

Didn't accomplish much today, as if DIS can't automatically identify the vehicle, the software becomes cumbersome...after all BMW made it to work seamlessly with its vehicle.

Good deal, I believe you need an ads interface. It's been a while since I ordered it and did the research but there's a lot more bogus stuff out there than legit. That seller is gtg.
