    No, just an example.

^Let's see some photos of that car... sounds awesome.

I also agree that matching numbers cars are only appealing to a certain small sampling of buyers. Let's be honest, it's not like the E36 M3 is god's personal chariot and left nothing to be desired from the showroom floor. Properly modified/upgraded cars are going to drive better and usually look better, what's not to like? I think we all agree that the only E36 in the US that will ever be a real "collector's item" is the Lightweight. So if someone is willing to walk from a very nice non-LTW car over a missing or mismatched VIN tag, that's their prerogative. But someone else will still buy the car, and enjoy it just as much (or more.)

I noticed the vin tag on the driver's side of the bell housing while installing the 3rd ZF320 into my car. I am also on my 3rd S52. 600 rwhp is fun, but has its downsides. When the trans break, they go "whack whack" when in gear.

          I know, I was kidding.

But now I get first dibs when you do.

You probably need to step up to an E46 Getrag 6-speed gear box!!!

I think I would break the 420G as well. They also cost 4x as much. I have to decide between that or a T56 Magnum.

It's comical to think that anyone who was collecting would seek out an auto trans. Maybe when the last manual has been crashed and hell freezes over, not necessarily in that order.
