04 Subaru Wrx Stock Vs. 97 Bmw M3/4 Modded

There is this guy who talks too much **** lately. here is how it started a month ago i had 1993 300zx Slick Top 300lbs lighter then normal 300zx, but those never came in turbo version 1/4 on it was 15 flat in stock. This guy in 04 wrx non sti drives up to me never by school and starts reving his engine so i'm like want to put $500 on that i can smoke you ? he comes out i pop my engine and he looked and looked for my turbos and could find anything other then my Injen Intake and he got scared that it was a turbo and drove away.



Then He comes to me 3 weeks later and says ok ok i will race and now i have an M3. I know i had no chance with him in my Z32 but i knew he would think it was a turbo thats why i was bluffing.



So my Question is will His 2004 Subaru Wrx Non Sti beat My

1997 BMW M3/4



I have

AA Chip

AA Exhaust NO Cat Converter Straight Pipe

Super Sprint Headers

Sach Clutch Kit

MY Car has nothing in the trunk(Some one opened and jacked everything) So thats should be like 50lbs lighter with out the tire and panels etc

And Vis Racing CF Hood Its a lot lighter too



He is saying i have no chance and just giving him away my $500



So i want to hear some opinions on that ?

the 0-60 of a stock 2004 WRX is 5.7.....an M3 is something like 5.5.....you'll own him unless hes modified.

Why do you have to race for $500, seems a little childish. Why

don't uou just go to the track and have fun racing each other. You have no idea what he's done to his car so I'd be careful about throwing away money for pride.

Actually stock WRX's do 0-60 in 5.4, and M3 about the same, 5.5. I'd watch out. They have excellent off the line. My buddy has an '02 and can run a 6.0 sec. 0-60 with 2 passengers and easy out of 1st. They move!

wanna know the truth, if u get a good launch and shift right, u'll smoke him.. but how are u guys racing? from light to light or for a long distance? if long distance or freeway u'll smoke the hell out of him.. but race for fun not for $500.. just because he was talking **** u dont have to prove anything to him.. all he is, is turbo all wheel drive happy and stuck on him self that he got somewhat of a fast car.. btw the only way he'll have u off the line is if he was to rev it up to 6k and drop it.. depends how much he cares for his car... good luck, i wanna hear the results.. but i bet u will win..

well currently my car was towed i will go get it back on Tuesday and we will do this on Saturday. I'm planing on Racing 1/4 mile.

Tell him you want to race him over 1/2 a mile and take his money.



Otherwise... well I'd never put that much money on a pointless race...



Keep in mind that a $2 bleed valve mod on his car will have him kicking your arse over 1/4... be warned.

Are you sure he's stock? Modded WRX's get super fast, super quickly. Any turbo car does.



It's also easy to launch if he hates his clutch.



If you're going to do it...do it for like 20 bucks max. Any money seems silly, but if he's set on doing it for cash, just be realistic. The world isn't like The Fast and the Furious...make sure to tell him that.



Practice launching before that also.

I say you have a slight edge, but just in case, make the race more than just a 1/4 mile, you start walking him hard above 110mph

do a highway roll from 55 and you will take him. But in the 1/4 if he knows how to lanch and shift your done. and 500 bucks poorer

I raced 4 WRX's from a dead stop and also from a roll, one of them had exhaust and blov valve and the other ones were stock, non of them were even close to me, I had at the end of 3rd gear 2.5 cl's almost 3. They are easy to take the only thing is that they are very good in first gear (only if the driver knows how to launch it). Don't worry the only way he can win is if he has a lot of mods or if you drive really bad.

Race for pink slips, and if you lose then you just owe him a 10 second car. So don't lose, because you can't. Besides, you dont' want that green Eclipse of your's anyways.....oh my bad, this isn't fast n furious.



Go race him on a track, then shake hands afterwards and take him out for coffee....then steal his bank account number and take $500. Don't race for money.
