I use Mobil 1 (15W50). Although, how does the price of that Lubro-Moly stuff compare to Mobil 1?

m3-dude...not EVERY place will be able to special order that for you...try shops that specialize in German Imports Svc and Tuning..they're your best bet...I think it runs like somewhere between 5-7 bux a QT...personally, well worth the extra buck or 3..but that's just me...I hate having to hear irritating clanks, claps, ticks...well, you dudes get the point..

dude nice having 2 sets of different rims on your car!!
Thanks alot. I'm not 100% sure if you mean it looks good or not. I like it though. It all started when I cracked the front 10 spoke. I put the LTW on, and it looks pretty good I think. People, can hardly ever tell that I have two sets. Only BMW fans can tell

dude...I don't know about that one Romh...personally, I would try and keep all 4s' the same...just my 'pinion...maybe on a *****..but not our Ms' dude....u feel me on this one?
I know, I feel you. Somebody here in this forum offered to trade me a LTW for a 10 spoke once.
I don;t have it on both sides though. Just the front driver's side. The LTW was my spare, so I had no other choice. It wasn't my intention. For some strange reason, my car came with a lightweight wheel as a spare. I sent out the cracked 10 spoke to the wheel collission center, and they said it was too damaged to fix. Right now, I have an E46 17 inch motorsport (the one that came with the 330ci sport packges) as a spare. Maybe somebody wants to trade that one for a 10 spoke. I don't know. I reallt want to save up for the ZKW headlights instead.
Thanks

...I hear ya Romh...well, for the time being, just stick with your current set-up...I guess if it doesn't bother you ENOUGH...just hang with it until you are bothered enough...then switch them out....
...as for the ZKW...I feel you man...I wanna hook myself up with some too..but I'm gonna chill for now being that I just cleaned out my checkbook paying her off...

dudes...I've been using Lubro-Moly...as Romh pointed out...this stuff is good shiet man...trust me on this one!....the high end rides...ie, Porsches' and Ferraris' use this in their engine....
on this one compadres.
I would think the Lubro Moly synth is a great product, but factory fill on Porsches is Mobil 1, and I am pretty sure it is mentioned in the owners manual to use this product.

That's the best man. No more care payments!
By the way, I've always used Mobil 1

I've read a lot of good things about Lubro Moly. And these are from people who used to use Mobil 1, and they say Lubro is 10 times better. I haven't read anything from someone who used to use Lubro Moly, but then changed to Mobil 1. I personally have always used Mobil 1 on my 3-series cars. But this is my M3, so I have 7 liters of Lubro Moly on the way. We'll see how it goes.

Lubro Moly is imported and hard to get, not too many people sell it, Mobil 1 is cheap ass american oil that u can buy almost at every gas station, autozone, kragen, pepboys, etc.. why would american spec cars recomend using something thats very hard to get, they rather say get Mobil 1, support Mobil 1, basicly its all money making scam advertisement bs.. and a lot of people on these forums use it and think it's the best, sorry Lubro Moly is waaaaaaaaaay better! plus it comes in a cool looking container..

Yeah, well BMW OEM oil is either Mobile 1 or Castrol per my service manager. Also how would BMW or Porsche for that matter be making money by saying use mobile 1???
If you change your oil every 3000 miles or so you wont notice any difference between mobile, castrol, amsol, redline, lubro moly, etc... My mechanic has $100k+ 8 series that he runs Mobile 1 through every 3,000 miles. If its good enought for his ride, then it should do fine in mine.
